Mrs. Jacqueline Knappenberger

Mrs. Knappenberger is an accomplished music educator and conductor with over a decade of experience in shaping the lives of young musicians. With a Master of Arts in Music, specializing in Conducting from the University of Central Missouri, and a Bachelor of Music Education from Florida State University, Jacqueline's journey in music education has been marked by dedication and excellence.

Mrs. Knappenberger also has a passion for mentorship. She completed Clinical Educator Training in both Florida and Virginia to be able to mentor music education interns and first-year teachers. She hopes every student has access to a high quality music education, which begins with teachers. As an active member of professional associations such as the National Association for Music Education and the American Choral Directors Association, she continues to advocate for the importance of music in education and in the lives of young learners.

DRAMA

Students learn the basics of building a character through such activities as pantomime, improvisation, and effective speaking using articulation, projection, and breathing. Students also learn the importance of technical theatre and explore the use of such elements as costumes, props, and scenery. Students practice writing for the theatre and explore various theatre roles and functions. Public performances may serve as a culmination of specific instructional goals. Students may be required to attend and/or participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend, and assess learning in the classroom.
